Aloha Friends,

Since 2000, I have supported NC WARN in their efforts to protect the health and safety of their North Carolina communities by preventing the building by Duke Energy of new nuclear power plants in their state. Now we see that we must help them stop another wasteful and pollutive form of power.....the newest coal plant. If you have ever seen the way they tear a mountain top off to get at the coal, then you understand why I against this kind of mining. Our mountains are precious and not to be ripped apart by power companies that are only interested in the bottom line. It is obvious that greed never sleeps. If you are interested in this struggle, please read on.
